Mountain bikers, racing cyclists and panoramic cyclists come to the region around Rauris in order to spend their time and enjoy the incomparable panorama.
Whether you are a downhill rider, freestyler or mountain biker on specially laid out routes and signposted paths, you can really let yourself go and feel free. Mountain bike - & Freestyle events take place at regular intervals in the surrounding communities and attract fans of athletic cycling from all over the world to the Hohe Tauern National Park.
The cycling & bike offer in the Raurisertal and in Taxenbach as well as the connection to the Tauern Cycle Path and the Pinzgau cycle path network offers something for every taste. During your biking holiday in Rauris and Taxenbach you will find pleasant bike tours and challenging mountain bike trails.
Bike tours and cycle paths also lead, for example, to the beautiful valley head of Kolm Saigurn in the Hohe Tauern National Park, from where you have an impressive view of the 3000m high Sonnblick and Hocharn. Or to the Seidlwinkltal, the valley of pilgrims and muleteers with its cosy mountain pastures.
The cross-border Tauern Cycle Path runs through Taxenbach. The bike tour starts in Krimml in the Salzburger Land, passes numerous excursion destinations in the Hohe Tauern National Park and ends in Passau in Germany.
